On 03-09-2017: Celebrated Onam Festival at Veenavadini

Our institution celebrated Onam festival in Narayaneeyam music campus on 3rd September 2017. To mark the occasion, Padmashri Awardee Sri Girish Bharadwaj was felicitated. The celebration began with creation of beautiful Pookalam, which was followed by Nadopasana. Students of the institution from Badiadka, Perla, Madhur and Mangalore branches actively participated in it. Violin guru Sri Prabhakara Kunjaru & Mridangam Sri Shridhara Bhat accompanied all the participants.
In the felicitation stage programme, four parent representatives of the institution from its various branches, Guru Sri Yogeesha Sharma Ballapadavu, Dr Vasantha Kumar Perla, Sri Madhavan Namboodiri were present who felicitated Sri Girish Bharadwaj. Speaking on the occasion he said that he is an ardent music lover and he wished luck to the institute.
Mrs.Swarnagowri , first student of the institution to pass Vidwath examination conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Board was also felicitated. Mr Madhavan Namboodiri spoke about the relevance of Onam festival and importance of its celebration.
The entire programme was well organised and concluded with the traditional Onasadya. It was relished and the surplus food was taken to Ashraya Old age home at Narayanamangala, Neerchal.
